As 3DS MAX saves full path names to all referenced textures and your installation folder will be different that our directory structure, you will have to re-map texture paths to have the models load properly on your machine. NOTE: You only have to do this procedure once - and only for the data we have supplied as a sample. You do not need to do this on models you have created for your MOD! To re-map texture paths perform the follow steps for each model: 1) Load the Model's Reference/REF.MAX file 2) Select the Utilities panel. 3) Click the "More" button 4) Select Bitmap/Photometric Path Editor 5) Click OK 6) In the resulting "Path Editor" rollup panel click "Edit Resources" 7) Select the textures to remap, and then click the button at the bottom of the dialog 8) Click "Set Path" and you are finished! Reduced Scout morale damage. - Reduced melee damage of Assault Marines against building low. - Rhino now costs 1 Support cap. - Smoke Grenade research time/cost reduced. - Cultist reinforce time when in combat set to 12 seconds. - Updated help text to reflect balance changes. Mod Support - Mods can now disable tutorials by leaving a blank field in the FEDefaults.lua file. - Multiple fixes in the Attribute Editor. - Game now validates more fields from the attribute files. Also validation of starting units and buildings has been removed. - New binary file format for all attribute files. - Added support for exclusive win conditions. - Several unused attribute fields have been removed. - Added flag for weapon line-of-sight being blocked by entities. We recommend not using it, as it is terribly slow. - Added multiple flags to Scenario files in the Mission Editor, including being able to turn off sky, terrain and water rendering. Gameplay F2 Tactic - Squads that are being attacked by melee units now have their ranged weapon accuracy reduced to 1%. Modifier applies to all members of the squad being attacked, not just the members being hit. Balance Eldar Seer Council - Fixed Conceal ability so that it now only applies to individual members of the Seer Council. - Reduced ranged attack. - Increased power cost. Farseer - Fixed the Farseer health upgrade which was causing the Farseer's health. regeneration rate to be decreased instead of increased. Brightlance - Introduced a 2 second setup time for the Brightlance. Fire Prism - Decreased how often Fire Prism's can warp; they can now warp once every 90 seconds . Ranger Squad - Decreased reload time. - Decreased attack power. - Decreased morale damage. Bonesinger - Reduced attack by 25%. - Reduced health regeneration rate by 50%. Entanglement Ability - Increased power cost from 20 to 60. - Increased recharge rate from 120 seconds to 150. - Increased research time from 45 seconds to 90 seconds. - No longer works against Bloodthirster and Avatar. Tvůrčí tým Relic Entertainment a společnost THQ vydali první patch v1.01 pro fantasy 3D RTS Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War. Patch ovšem nepřináší žádné opravy, či vylepšení. Jediné co patch způsobuje, je zamezení běhu anglické verze hry z neanglických verzí (zní to divně, ale je to tak).

Demoverze fantasy 3D RTS Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War

Přesně dle předchozího slibu vydala společnost THQ a tvůrčí tým Relic Entertainment hratelnou demoverzi fantasy 3D realtime strategie Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War. Demo všem vyznavačům realtime strategií nabízí možnost vést elitní jednotky lidské armády - Space Marines do boje proti brutálně krvelačným Orkům, vojákům Chaosu a rase The Eldars v kompletní misi č.4 z hlavní kampaně hry. K dispozici jsou však ještě dvě samostatné mapy pro hru ve skirmish módů, parádní intro sekvence a nechybí ani srozumitelný tutoriál. Demo stahujte odsud a pak už nezbývá než se těšit na plnou verzi hry, která byla nedávno dokončena a brzy se objeví na pultech obchodů.
